Introduction
"JOIN THE CREDIT MATERIAL CONFIRMATION SCHEME TO BE A PRODUCT MANUFACTURER OF GENUINE AND QUALITY PLANTS"
Crop material is an important basic input for crop production in Malaysia. The use of certified plant material, guarantees the authenticity of the breed and its quality. The production of pure and quality plant material can only be done through compliance with crop material production procedures and the achievement of set standards. To realize this objective, the Department of Agriculture has established a Plant Material Verification Scheme (SPBT).
Under SPBT, the competent Examining Officer will recommend the fruit clone seedlings that meet the set standards. Buyer confidence will increase with nursery plants that produce certified clone seedlings. SPBT is open to crop nursery operators throughout Malaysia. Participation is voluntary and is free of charge.

How to Join SPBT
| Crop nursery operators need to register as participants in the scheme by filling in the application form which can be obtained by downloading from ABK 1 or at the address of the Secretariat of Crop Material Certification Scheme, Crop Quality Control Division, Department of Agriculture Malaysia, Wisma Tani Level 7, No. 30 Persiaran Perdana, Precinct 4, 62624 Putrajaya. | ||
| After becoming a Scheme Participant, crop nursery operators can apply for crop material certification according to the type of production for the crop variety types found in the Crop Variety List for SPBT verification. Production types and Crop Variety List for SPBT verification are constantly updated according to current needs.
